There are many essential places to visit in Thailand, a perfect country to have the first contact with what is considered a backpackers’ paradise; Southeast Asia.
In Thailand, the country of smiles, you will find the exoticism of those looking for something different from their comfortable surroundings, delicious gastronomy, in which pad thai is its star dish, landscapes in which rivers, mountains, waterfalls, and valleys converge, temples and ancient cities, the hospitality of its people, and as the icing on the cake, paradisiacal beaches and islands, bathed by turquoise waters, which we are sure, will be the best ending you have ever imagined for your trip.
The perfect time to tour Thailand is around November and March while the temperatures are satisfactory and the landscapes shine in all their splendor. And despite the fact that we can’t say that there may be any horrific time to tour to this country, in case you do now no longer need to run into the rain, try and keep away from touring throughout the monsoon, from July to October, while the rains could make you pass over an afternoon of tour.
Based on our experience during the trip through Thailand in 21 days and the month and a half that we spent in the country, in our last trip, during which we wrote this travel guide to Thailand and this route through Thailand in 7 and 14 days, we have made a list of what we think are the 5 essential places to see in Thailand.

The best places to go on vacation in Thailand
Thailand has many places worth visiting. It is a very large country with many kinds of tours, so you should know that this list will help you visit places you may not have thought of, but there are many other places, such as good places. It is worth visiting and that they do not appear so plan your trip well and do not forget to write down this top 5 in your itinerary.
These 5 places to visit in Thailand are just what you need to forget about your daily routine and return with your batteries charged.
The capital of Thailand, a hectic, chaotic, and totally crazy city, you are sure to experience culture shock when your plane lands in Thailand because it will most likely be the first place you arrive. The city of Bangkok is an intense and impressive experience that you must experience at least once.
You will find vendors who will sell you anything, tuk-tuks that will want to take you everywhere, magnificent temples, markets, and food stalls everywhere, shopping centers almost on every corner, and more 7/11 than bars you can find in the US. The streets are always crowded and you will feel the excitement of your trip with every step you take in your first days. Be sure to visit Khao San Road, the backpacker’s street, eat a Pad Thai at a street stall, and visit the giant Chatuchak Weekend Market on the weekend.
Something that by now you should know about Thailand is that it is a country with a lot of paradisiacal beaches and while most travel to highly crowded islands for tourism such as Koh Phi Phi or Koh Tao, I recommend something a little different, an island a little quieter and more peaceful, a place that is blessed with calm waters, white sand and few tourists compared to other nearby islands.
In Koh Lanta you will find many bungalows and resorts to spend a few quiet and relaxed days while visiting the island with your motorbike, it usually has very affordable prices and you can explore a place with hidden beaches, small markets and fishermen who bring fish so you can try them to the BBQ every day right after taking a dip in the pool or taking a massage, doesn’t that sound bad right?
The island of Koh Chang is incredible and has what you can look for on your trip, those who want to party can enjoy it and those who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere too. The island is lush and its waters are clear and calm, it is the second-largest island in Thailand after Phuket. If you are looking for a party atmosphere the best beaches are White Sand Beach or Lonely Beach and if you are looking for quieter beaches you can relax at Zion Beach.
In the top 4 of the places to visit in Thailand during these holidays you have an island that you will surely have heard about if you have already done some research on the Internet, it is the island of the famous Full Moon Party but this island has much more to offer in addition to this famous party, if you travel when the full moon party is over you can enjoy a very quiet beach, with a lot of quiet areas where you can spend the day and do water activities, I recommend beaches like Leela Beach or Haad Rin among others.
It is known as one of the best places in the world of limestone to climb, you have more than 700 routes to do this activity and if that scares you you can make excursions to secret lagoons hidden inside the “island”, do yoga, or contemplate the sunset on your beach.
In short, Thailand is full of beautiful islands, lush jungles, white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and delicious food, you could spend several months here touring the country from top to bottom without problems, buy a bathing suit, book your flight and spend some vacations that you will undoubtedly want to repeat.
